I Want Cake!

Im not joking!

After having a Marie Antoinette day(consisting of the 1938 and 2006 adaptations,several books and 3 gorgeous eclairs with PINK whipped cream),I have decided that I will DEFINITELY pay a visit to Ladurée who supplied most of the confectionery for Marie Antoinette(2006) and purchase the cake to end all cakes for the day when I turn Seven And Ten!!!!!!!!!!!!

Meh.

My living room is full of people babbling over cups of Afternoon Tea.

BUT....I am in my room(obviously)trawling the internet for ways to make people invisible.

Invisible AND Quiet.

No luck so far.... =(

Today has kind of been a day for truth..

When I say truth,I mean the fact that for me and ''ma meilleure ami'' to buy tickets for the Jane Austen Festival in Bath next year,additional tickets for other activities,accomodation,train fare,several Regency dresses(for me) and around 15 packets of Tesco's digestive biscuits and 26 bottles of lucozade to live off for the ten or so days of the festival,It'll cost something around £2000.

Pride and Prejudice-So Many Adaptations To Love!

I am currently pondering which adaptation ranks in my Top 3 movies/adaptations/things you can stare at...

Currently,and the first one will ALWAYS be my Number 1......

1)Pride and Prejudice(2005)

I cant fault it.I REALLY cant!

2)Lost In Austen(2008)

Stick this on when you need cheering up!

Always leaves me pushing on the tiles in my bathroom looking for a secret doorway..

3)Marie Antoinette(2006)

The most amazing chick flick film ever!

WHO CARES if it is 3 million miles away from the facts?

We do NOT watch movies for a good dose of reality and this is just what's needed for a good night in by yourself,a bowl of chocolate peanuts and Orange Lucozade or with your mates(times the peanuts and Lucozade by 50!)

ANYWAY.......So what is YOUR favourite adaptation of P+P and why?

Hey Hey!

My first bloggy thing!

Soon to be filled with the assortment of various areas and random boxes of fluffy weirdness that have holed themselves up in my head which is soon to be seven and ten years of age!

For the benefit of ANYONE reading this,I shall let you know (quite alot) about me but not all of it strictly relevant =D

I consider myself a regency princess(not literally royalty,It just sounded poetic) born in the wrong era(I was born in the 20th century,1993, and not actually being much of a '90s child,I technically grew up in the 21st century BUT I should have been born around 1785.I would have fit in a lot better..)

The Regency era is the best era ever!!!!!!!!!!I am SO in love with that time,It's getting to be more of an obsession/love affair....

I love music.Especially Baroque,Classical and Romantic.In THAT order..

Once I discover something,I generally fill my head up with it until not-so-common sense takes over(like Burlesque Dancing which somehow progressed onto wanting to learn French)

Marie Antoinette,Jane Austen and Henry Purcell are absolutely AMAZING!

Pride and Prejudice sends me into a dreamy trance which then results in me reaching for the book/dvd to further fuel my countless dreams AND day dreams(Lost In Austen takes care of that!)

Did you really need to or rather wanted to know all that?

Its debatable.....
